The case highlights the growing trend of cross-border financial scams linked to digital currency and unregulated online investments. Many NRIs are unknowingly caught in such traps or become targets of misuse.
“This isn’t just a Punjab issue - it’s a global awareness challenge,” said a cyber expert in Ludhiana.
